Information and Advice on RC Jet Fighters For Beginners
by Jimmy Milner
Flying RC Jet fighters still remains one of this country's most exhilarating and exciting hobbies. This isn't really a great surprise. It is a hobby that combines ingenuity, a high degree of skill and a lot of really high speed activity.
Radio controlled jet fighters can easily zip through the air at very high speeds that are much faster than you might think. But any type of RC Jet plane that flies this fast may not be what you are able to control as a beginner pilot. But obviously just the chance of getting a crack at flying such a RC Fighter in the future will be enough motivation for any newcomer who wants to fly model remote controlled aircraft.
Anyone who is keen to fly remote controlled jets like these model fighter planes will be able to show off their own skills and individualism as these rc aircraft come in a wide variety of different sizes, styles of plane and engine types to keep you and anyone who helps you interested for a very long time into the future.
As a beginner and before even flying anything for the very first time it's important for any hobbyists new to this great and fun sport to get to grips with and learn the basics of what rc jet fighters are all about.
If possible you should first get in touch with a local rc model airplane flying club as they will always have enthusiastic members and they will only be too keen to help you join in their hobby.
You may also find that they provide training or can advise you on the best rc trainer aircraft to buy that will have you quickly learning the ropes that will get you on a fast track to flying the ultimate rc jet fighters.
A choice you will have to make is on the type of rc model aircraft to buy first. There are basically three types of rc plane to consider and they differ in they way that the are propelled.
You could start with flying ducted fan jets, which are easy to fly and because they hide their propellers and engines inside a duct are also a lot safer. Alternatively choose the pusher variety of rc jets, which have a propeller located in the middle of their backs for ease of flying, affordability and a slightly lower speed experience.
The ultimate rc jet fighter though would be one of the turbine ducted jets as these machines are powered by real jet fuel. As you might imagine they can zoom along at some incredible speeds, so fast in fact that they are too quick for even the most clever and adept of all rc jet beginners, however confident they might feel in their own abilities. These fast machines really are just too quick to learn with!
So if you really want to quickly become an expert at flying the fighter versions of an rc jet then start with the basics first and train on a radio controlled plane that is more appropriate to your skill level. When buying get a plane that is "ready to fly" so you do not have to waste time building it first.
